Nick Wakefield - Co-founder & Managing Director

Nick has been working in publishing for over 15 years. In that time he has worked on some of the leading publications globally including Risk, Euromoney and Global Custodian. In his capacity he has overseen teams across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. He has worked with governments across Asia in producing leading conferences aimed at attracting high-level investment into local infrastructure projects. He has been a resident in Hong Kong for 5 years and before that Australia and the UK.

He holds a degree in Business Communication Systems and a Diploma in Economics.

Brad Maclean - Co-founder & Head of Research

Brad Maclean is a Co-Founder and Managing Director with inAsia Media. Overseeing operations and research, based out of Guangzhou, China.

Prior to Co-founding inAsia Media, Brad was a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Link Resources International Consulting Group – an adaptive o2o learning service provider solely focused on financial services. Building the business from start up to a team of more than 150+ across China. He oversees the businesses growth, operations and consulting services across greater China. Brad also oversaw the investment into the group by the publicly listed Hong Kong International Educational Investments.

Prior to Link, Brad was Vice President of Business Development at SunGard Financial Systems headed up strategic and business planning across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, in total overseeing 36 countries. With annual revenue exceeding $7 billion, SunGard is ranked 380 on the Fortune 500 and is the world’s largest privately held business software and IT services company.

Brad had also headed up the Asian practice for a prominent European alternative assets advisory firm. With a focus on providing strategic advice to private equity, hedge funds and their investors firms; he has been involved with the fund raising of US15+ Billion across Asia & Europe. Additionally, he has been involved in several significant research programs including assisting on the ‘T.A.R.P. Troubles Asset Relief Program’ for the US Department of the Treasury and the Office of the Comptroller of Currency during the global financial crisis in 2008. Other research programs have included work with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Harvard University.

Brad holds a Masters of Finance from New York University. 

Peter Guy - Co-founder & Editor-at-large

Peter Guy is an award winning financial journalist. His analysis and coverage includes capital markets, private banking and asset management. He is also a weekly business opinion columnist for the SCMP.

In his role as Editor-in-Chief he is responsible for all aspects of the website’s editorial strategy and production. Peter will also work closely with the events business and provide his investigative and analytical expertise to help shape agendas and themes in line with market developments.

Samuel Riding - Editorial Director

Samuel is responsible for the editorial direction of the firm including the two brands, Regulation Asia & RMB Week.
